Fauji Fertilizer Company FFC organized an in depth training session titled Unlocking the AI Potential at its Islamabad Head Office, creating a platform for leadership teams and technology professionals to discuss how artificial intelligence is influencing business operations across sectors. The session was conducted in collaboration with Knowledge Streams and brought together senior executives, strategists and subject matter experts to highlight the role of AI in productivity enhancement and organizational transformation. Participants from multiple functions within FFC attended the event, which focused on both the strategic direction of AI and the practical skills needed for effective adoption.

The opening segment featured an address by Azhar Nawaz, Chief Digital and Information Officer at FFC, who outlined the company’s ongoing journey of adopting AI based tools and digital processes across its operations. He shared how the organization has been examining new ways to integrate AI into decision making and workflow optimization. This was followed by remarks from Jahangir Piracha, Managing Director and CEO of FFC, who spoke about his broader vision for the company and the opportunities that AI brings across different units. His comments emphasized the strategic importance of understanding AI’s potential impact and building internal capability to support its use in large scale industrial settings.

The training formally began with insights from Dr. Syed Sohail Hussain Naqvi, ex Vice Chancellor of LUMS and Chairman of Knowledge Streams, who provided a wider overview of how AI is shaping industries and influencing economic development. He addressed the significance of preparing teams for the emerging shifts in technology driven models and highlighted how companies globally are navigating AI adoption. His session was followed by Abdul Haseeb, Group CEO and Managing Director of TMC, who discussed real world enterprise implementations and shared examples of how organizations are incorporating AI solutions to improve efficiency. His perspective helped participants understand the operational steps needed for integrating AI based tools at scale.

The program then shifted towards technical aspects, offering participants a detailed understanding of AI fundamentals. The topics included temperature settings in AI systems, managing hallucinations, prompt engineering techniques and agentic AI. These sessions were led by R T Rehman, a subject matter expert, and Shahmeer Maqbool, an AI strategist, who provided practical explanations and encouraged participants to explore hands on approaches for using AI tools within their respective departments. Their guidance enabled attendees to connect the conceptual understanding of AI with real applications that could support productivity enhancements across FFC’s operations. The sessions were described as engaging and interactive, allowing participants to reflect on how AI could support their day to day responsibilities.

The daylong program concluded with a sense of shared purpose as participants discussed learnings and exchanged perspectives on the future of AI in enterprise functions. The event served as an opportunity for employees from diverse backgrounds to understand the expanding role of AI in the corporate landscape and explore ways to contribute to its adoption within FFC. The training highlighted the value of cross functional collaboration and reinforced the company’s interest in fostering a culture of continuous learning as technology continues to shape business practices.
