Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman, Asim Ahmad, announced the launch of IRIS 2.0, the upgraded version of the tax filing system developed by Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL). The launch event took place at the FBR Headquarters.
IRIS 2.0 marks a significant milestone in tax administration, bringing with it improved user experience, enhanced efficiency, and cost-saving benefits for the FBR. While the earlier versions, IRIS 1.0 and IRIS 1.1, were groundbreaking, they faced certain challenges that affected performance, user satisfaction, and incurred high hardware expenses during peak loads.
To address these concerns, IRIS 2.0 has undergone a major transformation, focusing on robust backend enhancements and an intuitive frontend design. This overhaul ensures a seamless experience for both users and the FBR, streamlining tax filing operations and reducing hardware expenditures.
By adopting IRIS 2.0, the FBR aims to achieve greater efficiency in tax filing processes and elevate overall user satisfaction. The upgraded system is expected to become a valuable asset for the FBR, demonstrating their commitment to employing cutting-edge technology for improved service delivery and enhanced efficiency.
