Lahore: Fatima Fertilizer recently won the Green Leaf Award from the International Fertilizer Association (IFA), which honours members who have excelled in safety, health, and environmental (SHE) practises during fertiliser production. The award is a crucial component of the association’s protect & sustain product stewardship initiative.

By becoming first runner-up in the nitrogenous fertilisers category of the coveted 2022 Green Leaf Award given by the IFA for exemplifying excellence in the overall management of safety, health, and the environment (SHE) in the fertiliser manufacturing operations, Fatima Fertilizer won the award. The prestigious IFA Green Leaf Award is given by the IFA, the only international fertiliser association with 400 members in 70 nations, and is regarded as the industry’s gold standard worldwide by fertiliser makers.

Before the most worthy winners are chosen, an impartial panel of experts carefully evaluates all performance indicators in accordance with the evaluation criteria for the awards. These widespread acknowledgments inspire and empower businesses to pursue the greatest levels of workplace safety and wellbeing while also assisting in environmental protection. Every two years, the award is presented, and all of the member organisations show a great deal of interest in it. For 2022, there were a record 25 qualified applications.

“We are proud of this achievement and will remain committed to our continued efforts towards becoming a global leader in practising HSE management systems to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees,”

said Mr. Fawad Ahmad Mukhtar, CEO of Fatima Fertilizer, in reference to this accomplishment.
