FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences Karachi Campus has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Xloop Digital, a software and digital transformation company, formalising a partnership aimed at creating meaningful internship opportunities and enhancing industry exposure for students. The signing ceremony was held on June 17, 2026 at Xloop’s office in DHA Karachi.
The partnership is structured around three core objectives: creating meaningful internship opportunities for students, enhancing industry exposure and practical learning, and supporting professional development through strong academia-industry collaboration. FAST-NUCES Karachi Campus was represented by Dr. Shahbaz Akhtar Siddiqui, Head of the Department of Cyber Security, and Sheeraz Ahmed Khan, Officer Coordination for the Internship Programme, while Xloop was represented by Farrukh Feroze, Head of AI Security, Atir Ahsan, Chief Finance Officer, Sana Qazi, Head of Marketing, and Omema Kamran, People and Culture Lead.
The involvement of FAST-NUCES’ Cyber Security department alongside Xloop’s Head of AI Security signals that the partnership carries a specific technical focus on security and artificial intelligence-adjacent disciplines, areas where Pakistan’s industry continues to face a meaningful talent gap relative to demand. For students at FAST-NUCES Karachi, the agreement provides a direct, structured pathway into a technology company actively working at the intersection of cybersecurity and digital transformation, giving them practical exposure that complements their academic training. Both institutions expressed confidence that the partnership would prove long-lasting and mutually beneficial, equipping students with the skills and industry exposure needed to compete in Pakistan’s evolving technology and cybersecurity job market.
