Fast Cables Limited (PSX: FCL) has achieved a significant industry milestone by becoming the first cable manufacturer in Pakistan to be certified as an approved vendor by Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA). The certification allows Fast Cables to supply its products for TAQA’s energy infrastructure projects across multiple regions. This recognition marks a critical step for the company in aligning with global benchmarks of quality, safety, and innovation in the cable manufacturing sector.

TAQA, which operates in 11 countries across four continents, is a prominent player in the global energy landscape. The company is involved in a range of strategic initiatives spanning electricity generation, oil and gas exploration, and water desalination. The approval of Fast Cables by an entity of such stature signals not only confidence in the technical and manufacturing capabilities of the Pakistani company but also represents a major leap forward for Pakistan’s industrial presence in international energy markets.

According to Fast Cables, the certification reflects years of investment in advanced production facilities, quality assurance systems, and rigorous adherence to international standards. The company emphasized that meeting TAQA’s vendor approval criteria involved an exhaustive assessment of its operational processes, testing protocols, and compliance with global energy specifications. With this approval, Fast Cables is now positioned to deliver high-performance cable solutions for projects managed or endorsed by TAQA, both within the Middle East and in other operational geographies.

The development significantly strengthens Fast Cables’ export profile and broadens its access to global tenders and procurement frameworks. As energy projects increasingly prioritize operational continuity, durability, and environmental sustainability, the demand for advanced cabling solutions has grown. Fast Cables’ ability to serve such demand at scale reflects its long-term commitment to manufacturing excellence and innovation.

The company noted that it intends to leverage this certification to expand its footprint across strategic markets, particularly in regions undergoing energy transitions and infrastructure modernization. Participation in TAQA-led projects also enables Fast Cables to contribute to goals around regional energy security, system efficiency, and project resilience, particularly in high-temperature and high-voltage environments.

By entering the approved vendor ecosystem of TAQA, Fast Cables joins a global network of energy equipment suppliers who meet stringent quality and reliability thresholds. This move supports the company’s ambition to be a reliable contributor to large-scale infrastructure development, while also enhancing Pakistan’s image as a source of world-class industrial manufacturing solutions.
