These days, online shopping is booming, and a large portion of the world’s population prefers to shop online than than go to crowded markets, especially in these pandemic days. With its recent improvements aimed for online shopping, Facebook is making it even easier for them to shop.
People may now shop on WhatsApp, in addition to Instagram Shops and Facebook Marketplace, which are prominently shown on the app’s bottom navigation tabs.
Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s CEO, revealed three new e-commerce features in a live Audio Room. Shops on WhatsApp and Marketplace, Shops Ads, and Instagram Visual Search are just a few of the options.
“We’re making it simple for businesses to bring their Shops into Marketplace to reach even more people,” Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post. Customers will be able to communicate with a business before purchasing something when viewing a shop on WhatsApp.
Shops will be available on WhatsApp soon, and Shops inventory in Marketplace is currently available for Shops in the United States with on-site checkout.
Meanwhile, the Shops Ads feature aims to provide customers with a more personalised shopping experience based on their personal preferences.
Zuckerberg said, “We’re launching the ability for a business to send shoppers to where you’re going to be most likely to make a purchase based on your shopping behavior.”
