Caretaker Minister for Revenue, Industries, and Commerce, Mohammad Younus Dagha, inaugurated the ‘E-Services Sindh’ project, a digitization and online services initiative, in the presence of industrialists, diplomats, and government officials. The Board of Revenue Sindh and the Industries Departments jointly developed the app, providing online services within a remarkable two-month timeframe.
Younus Dagha marked the occasion as a historic day for Sindh’s governance, introducing digitized land records and maps for estates across the province. Covering areas such as Karachi, Nooriabad, Hyderabad, Kotri, Sukkur, etc., the E-Services Sindh app facilitates online services for NOCs, permissions, and transfers, eliminating the need for physical visits to offices and minimizing application processing times.
The system incorporates time limits for officials to process applications, enhancing accountability and streamlining the ease of doing business. With an efficient monitoring system, the initiative aims to eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy and enhance transparency.
Dagha emphasized the significance of implementing modern E-Governance in a key provincial department, envisioning its expansion to other departments. The E-Services system, designed to safeguard government records, especially land ownership records, promises increased transparency and security.
Acknowledging that the system will evolve over time, Dagha expressed hope for continued strengthening and improvement by the elected government in the future. He revealed plans to extend E-Services to all Revenue Department offices in the coming days.
Caretaker provincial Minister for Law, Umar Soomro, also addressed the ceremony. Business community representatives, including Zubair Motiwala, CEO TDAP, commended the caretaker minister’s efforts, anticipating positive changes in the investment environment. They expressed optimism that the incoming elected government would build on these initiatives for further enhancement.
