The annual event, organized by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), will bring together over 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from more than 180 countries, underlining its unmatched scale and influence across the global tech landscape. What began in 1981 as a modest exhibition with a few dozen participants has grown into a defining global technology platform that connects governments, enterprises, and innovators shaping the digital age.
This upcoming edition will feature 16 conference tracks, 10 stages, and over 500 global speakers, including AI scientists, robotics experts, cybersecurity leaders, and venture capitalists. These discussions will explore emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, biotechnology, sustainable tech, and green data centers — all seen as key components of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. According to Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of DWTC, the event provides a space where data centers, biotech, and robotics converge with the world’s most critical challenges. She noted that GITEX continues to foster innovation-led progress and act as a central platform for transformative ideas driving future industries and economies.
Tech giants including Microsoft, Google, IBM, Amazon Web Services, Huawei, Dell, AMD, and Alibaba Cloud will use the platform to showcase advancements in cloud computing, AI infrastructure, and next-generation data technologies. Meanwhile, emerging disruptors like Cerebras, Datadog, Tenstorrent, and Qualcomm will highlight developments in semiconductor design and physical AI. One of the focal points of the event will be Digital Dubai’s Government Pavilion, which will present new models of AI-driven governance, smart city services, and blockchain-based public administration. Featuring participation from 50 entities across the public and private sectors, the pavilion will emphasize Dubai’s commitment to building an agile and data-driven government ecosystem that enhances citizen experience and competitiveness.
The event’s scale coincides with a surge in global investment in AI and digital infrastructure. According to Unctad, the AI market is projected to reach $4.8 trillion by 2033, while global IT spending is expected to cross $5 trillion by 2025. Within this global momentum, GITEX has become a vital platform for the exchange of ideas, investment, and regulatory collaboration shaping the future of technology. Another major feature of the event will be Expand North Star, curated by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy at Dubai Harbour. Known as the world’s largest startup and investor gathering, it is expected to bring together founders and venture funds from over 100 countries, facilitating multi-billion-dollar opportunities in sectors such as fintech, healthtech, spacetech, and deeptech. This reflects Dubai’s growing strength as a top-tier startup hub, with the MENA region’s venture funding surpassing $4 billion in 2024, according to MAGNiTT.
Beyond its exhibition scale, GITEX’s influence continues to shape the UAE’s technology and innovation ecosystem.
