DJI has introduced the Osmo Pocket 4, a compact handheld camera designed primarily for content creators and vloggers who require high quality video capture in a portable form factor. The device builds on its predecessor with improvements in image processing, usability, and performance while retaining the signature three axis gimbal design that has made the series popular among mobile filmmakers. The camera continues to target users seeking a balance between professional grade output and everyday portability.

The Osmo Pocket 4 features a 1 inch CMOS sensor capable of producing enhanced low light performance and improved dynamic range, allowing for more detailed and balanced footage in challenging lighting conditions. It supports 4K video recording at up to 240 frames per second, enabling high quality slow motion capture for cinematic effects. The device also includes 10 bit D Log color support, which provides greater flexibility in post production editing for creators who require advanced color grading control.

In terms of usability, DJI has introduced several hardware and software refinements aimed at improving the shooting experience. These include additional physical controls such as a dedicated zoom button and customizable shortcut options, along with expanded internal storage that reduces dependence on external memory cards. Battery performance has also been improved, offering longer recording time compared to earlier models, making it more suitable for extended shooting sessions without frequent interruptions.

Beyond core imaging capabilities, the device incorporates AI assisted tracking, improved stabilization, and enhanced audio features designed to support vlog style content creation. These upgrades allow smoother subject tracking and more consistent framing during movement, while also improving voice clarity in varied recording environments. Although it does not introduce major structural changes compared to previous models, the incremental improvements collectively position it as a refined tool for modern digital content production, particularly for creators focused on mobile first workflows.
