The second season of the eagerly anticipated docuseries “#PakistanIs” will soon be available thanks to a new cooperation between Deutsche Welle (DW) and Pakistan’s fastest-growing streaming service, STARZPLAY.

The second season of #PakistanIs is the sixth joint series produced by DW and STARZPLAY. The first seasons of the preceding five series—HER: Women in Asia, HER: Women in Asia season 2, Unseen, Art-See-Asia, and #PakistanIs—all received rave reviews and immediately rose to the top of the platform’s viewer favourites list.

Polish YouTuber Eva Zu Beck travelled throughout Pakistan in the first season of #PakistanIs and discussed the country’s natural beauty, rich culture, and diversity. The series revealed various facets of our nation, leaving viewers in awe of the featured themes as well as the untapped ability and potential of the Pakistani population.

Season 2 of #PakistanIs has portrayed Pakistan and its numerous stories in a different way. Patangeer, Muzamil Hasan, Girl with Green Passport (Anam Hakeem), Azaz Ahmed, Guddu Pakistani, and the hip-hop dance crew “EXD” are just a few of the well-known local content creators who team up to tell their own tales and highlight what Pakistan is all about.

With popular Pakistani influencers hosting the series’ episodes, the production not only promotes the beautiful facets of the country but also highlights the lives of Pakistanis. Viewers will get to experience Pakistan for what it truly is: Majestic, young, unique, and hospitable.

“Sharing the most important and unique stories from Pakistan with the world has been a core mission of ours from day one,” said Sukena Rizvi, Digital Distribution Executive for Deutsche Welle in Pakistan.

“We have always tried to empower local content creators and creatives, and this series just goes on to show how much talent there is in Pakistan. We look forward to getting more of these stories on the forefront too,” added Daniel Schulz, Distribution Manager for Deutsche Welle, Asia.

Chairman of Cinepax Group Arif BaigMohamed said, “Partnering with a reputable broadcaster like DW has been a pleasant journey thus far. The concepts they emphasise in their series are similar to the ones we want to spread.

“We take great satisfaction in showcasing our nation and its people on STARZPLAY and are confident that everyone will really enjoy #PakistanIs season 2.”
By visiting www.starzplay.pk or by downloading the STARZPLAY app, which is accessible on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, viewers in Pakistan can stream the second season of #PakistanIs.

This year, keep an eye out for additional partnerships, global releases, and significant changes on the STARZPLAY app and website.
