An disadvantaged school in Karachi now has a computer lab thanks to a collaboration between Zong 4G and HANDS, one of the best non-profits in Pakistan.
The alliance will provide thousands of kids with digital education with the goal of bridging the digital divide in society and providing high-quality education to Karachi’s underprivileged strata of society.
Students couldn’t acquire and use practical computer skills since the institution lacked the necessary technical infrastructure. Young kids and their teachers will be able to access digital education through the digital lab that Zong has set up and keep up with the pace of the global education system.
“We are utilising our network to offer possibilities for everyone because we have a responsibility to educate the younger generations—the future leaders of Digital Pakistan. Our partnership with HANDS is evidence of our commitment to building an inclusive digital Pakistan, according to a Zong 4G representative.
HANDS strives to enhance health, build infrastructure, advance education, combat poverty, and establish social institutions that will empower local communities. There are 13 volunteer board members, 11,230 employees, and thousands of community volunteers from more than 6,300 partner groups working for the organisation.
Arsalan Ashraf from HANDS commented on the collaboration, saying, “We extend our gratitude to the Zong team for their assistance to these future leaders of the nation. These kids will obtain the knowledge and confidence they need in this digital lab to succeed in a digital society.
Zong 4G’s social responsibility efforts involve creating possibilities and assisting in addressing social needs, strengthening underrepresented groups, and fostering an egalitarian society by building a prosperous and inclusive digital education ecosystem.
