A New Era of Technology

Minister of Information and Technology, Mrs. Anusha Rahman chaired a meeting in Islamabad where she highlighted the importance of 3G inception for economic growth as well as for creating new jobs. Moreover, e-government system within federal ministries was also discussed in the meeting.  

 

Official Launch of 3G Within 2 Weeks 

 

Mobile phone companies that have acquired 3G licenses will start providing 3G services within 2 weeks. According to PTA, the licenses will be awarded to mobile carriers in a ceremony after the license fees are paid. Zong at the moment is the only mobile company that has 4G license and it is already getting a huge response from mobile phone users. 

Microsoft organizes Tech Day 2014 

Microsoft Pakistan in collaboration with Microsoft Innovation Centers organized technical sessions for Tech Day 2014 in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. A big number of Microsoft professionals from Microsoft Technological Evangelists participated in the event. The purpose of this event was to highlight latest developments in IT sector and identify advanced technological tools for local developers. 

Samsung Galaxy S5 Brings New Features for the Visually Impaired 

Samsung Galaxy S5 has several added features for senior citizen and people who are visually impaired. There is a special menu in the phone for accessibility options which is divided categorically and it is designed very simply. Additionally, the Galaxy S5 is embedded with 10 sensors to provide greater user experience.
