According to the site’s official Facebook page, Coursera, a global online learning platform, is coming to Pakistan with access to online courses and degrees from world-class universities and companies.

Coursera will be rolled out across Pakistan under the Digital Learning and Skills Enrichment Initiative Pakistan (DLSEI – II), which is a project of the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Coursera, a project of the HEC, promises to provide a world of information to Pakistani students and instructors.

Coursera had already offered out free versions of its programmes with updated features to numerous global colleges, including a few Pakistani institutes, prior to its introduction in Pakistan.

The e-learning platform will provide all schools and institutions in the country with first-hand digital engagement tools and guided projects hands-on learning, as well as thorough online curricula and an effective learning curve, thanks to this development under the HEC.

CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come.
