Since the pandemic has broken all over the world, people and health care services are in constant stress to provide medical aid to the people. In Pakistan, if anyone has corona symptoms can call 1166 helpline, which is now free to help people in this pandemic.
“Update: All calls being made to the Ministry of National Health Services helpline: 1166 have been declared free. PTA has issued directions to all operators for not charging calls to 1166,” wrote Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Twitter.
On the request of the ministry of national health services, PTA is sending SMS alerts to the people who might be in danger of having corona due to contact with COVID-19 affected people due to traveling.
Those receiving the hospital should visit their nearest hospital and call 1166 to get themselves checked by the doctors if the symptoms like fever, cough, and problem in breathing persist with body aches.
Tania Aidrus, Head of Digital Pakistan also encouraged people to take this message seriously and go into self-isolation.
