Cadet College Sanghar (CCS) has initiated a series of freelancing courses under the People’s Information Technology Program (PITP), a flagship project of the Science & Technology Department, Government of Sindh. The program, supervised by Sukkur IBA University, aims to provide free-of-cost training in digital skills to empower the youth of Sanghar. Through this initiative, the provincial government seeks to build a digitally skilled workforce capable of contributing to Pakistan’s growing freelance and tech economy.

The PITP project focuses on developing practical capabilities that prepare participants for the evolving demands of the global digital marketplace. The courses are designed to strengthen employability and entrepreneurial potential among students by blending theoretical understanding with hands-on experience. Participants will also gain exposure to industry-recognized certifications, ensuring that their training aligns with current market standards. By promoting digital literacy at the grassroots level, the program reflects Sindh’s commitment to inclusive technological advancement and rural capacity building.

The first course, “Digital Marketing & Search Engine Optimization (SEO),” officially began on September 24, 2025, at the CCS campus. This two-month training has enrolled 80 participants, including 60 cadets of the college and 20 students from neighboring villages and the Jam Nawaz Ali area. The initiative underscores the importance of integrating digital education into formal and informal learning systems, especially in regions where access to such opportunities has traditionally been limited. With a focus on marketing strategy, online visibility, and brand optimization, participants are expected to gain the technical knowledge and confidence necessary to pursue careers in the digital economy.

Organizers hope that the program will inspire participants to establish their own IT-related ventures and explore freelancing opportunities across platforms such as Fiverr, Upwork, and Freelancer. By enabling the youth to translate their skills into income-generating activities, the PITP-backed courses are also expected to play a role in addressing unemployment and promoting a sustainable digital culture within Sindh. With continued efforts and partnerships through institutions like Sukkur IBA University, initiatives like these are gradually reshaping the digital education landscape, creating pathways for innovation and self-reliance among Pakistan’s youth.
