In a remarkable tale of thriftiness and tech savviness, a Pakistani gaming enthusiast shares their journey of building a powerful gaming PC using AliExpress. The author’s goal was to create a rig capable of running the latest games at 1440p and 120+ FPS, while navigating the challenges of buying from AliExpress as a Pakistani buyer.

After researching local markets, including Tecno City, the author discovered inflated prices for DDR5 components and decided to opt for AMD instead of Intel. They chose the Ryzen 5 7500F CPU, which promised 120+ FPS in popular multiplayer titles and over 100 FPS in most single-player games, all at a fraction of the cost.

Through AliExpress, the author purchased:

– Ryzen 5 7500F CPU for $108 (around 33.5K PKR)

– ASRock B650 H/M.2+ Motherboard for $98.9 (around 27.5K PKR)

– G.Skill Trident Z 6400 CL32 RAM for around 33K PKR

– Crucial P3 Plus 1TB and 2TB Gen4 SSDs for 12.3K PKR and 29.6K PKR

– Intel AX201 WiFi 6E Card for 4.1K PKR

Locally, they acquired:

– Zotac Geforce RTX 3080 LHR GPU for 130K PKR

– ID Cooling 214XT CPU Cooler for 6.5K PKR

– SuperFlower Leadex III Gold 850W PSU for 33.5K PKR

– Silverstone Fara 514X Case for 19K PKR

The total cost of the gaming rig came to around 337K PKR, with additional peripherals (AJAZZ AK820Max Keyboard and Logitech G502x LightSpeed Wireless Mouse) totaling 368K PKR.

The author’s experience highlights the potential savings and benefits of buying from AliExpress, including:

– Careful research and risk calculation

– Choosing reputable sellers like CHOICE STORES for smoother customs handling

– Avoiding fragile or expensive parts like GPUs from overseas
