BankIslami Restores E-banking Services

In October, BankIslami came under a cyber attack, when hundreds of BankIslami ATM cardholders and online users reported irregular activity and multiple unauthorized international transactions that resulted in restrictions of online transactions under the orders of the State Bank of Pakistan. However, recently, BankIslami has releases a statement that the payment system has been successfully restored and running absolutely secured.

BankIslami customers can now access all other banks’ ATMs for Cash Withdrawal and the nationwide ATM network for Funds Transfer, including IBFT, Utility and other Bill payments, although the POS (Point of Sales) services is yet to be restored.

The statement, released by the bank reads,

“BankIslami, customers’ safety holds utmost priority; hence we used all our avenues to ensure that none of our valued customers suffer any loss whatsoever. Meanwhile, our teams have been in continuous correspondence with our customers and keeping them well informed of the situation all the way through.”
