Durshal, KP IT Board’s Government Innovation Lab is a co-working space for young innovators to come together and propose innovative technology solutions to local governments & agencies for their governance & service delivery needs.

Durshal serves as a platform for launching the KP Civic Innovation Fellowship Program with an aim to bring about the much needed technological revolution in the province. Furthermore, it provides a vital link between the local governments, the tech industry, IT entrepreneurs and investors to anchor KP’s digital transformation.

Therefore, if you think you have what it takes to revolutionize the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and contribute to the digital economy, then don’t miss this chance as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board is now accepting applications for incubating potential startups at Durshal Community Innovation Labs at Peshawar, Mardan & Swat for its first cohort.

Durshal Community Innovations offers a wide range of opportunities for the incubatees such as: Monthly Stipends of PKR 30,000 per Member; a 6 months Incubation Cycle; Mentorship & Training sessions; Demo Day; Resident Entrepreneurs; assistance in intellectual property & company registration; access to funds; and a eclectic ambiance.

The eligibility criteria for Durshal is: At least one startup member shall be a graduate with 16 years of education or more in any ICT, Business Management/Administration or related fields; Applicant startups must have an ICT based business idea that can be transformed into a full-fledged commercial product/service; Applicant startups shall be in early stages of business development.

Small companies that require significant change in direction or are planning to launch a new product/service may also apply; Applicant startups shall have a team that can handle both the technical and management aspects of their business; and the Applicant startups should have the capacity for growth and provide economic value to the province by creating new jobs opportunities in their respective areas.

The application process is quite simply and one can simply apply online on their official website. After selection, the shortlisted startups will be called for pitching session. The deadline for the application is April 10, 2018.
