Alibaba.com, a leading global B2B e-commerce platform, celebrated Pakistan’s top exporters at the KEL Awards 2025 while simultaneously launching its upgraded Trade Assurance 2.0 service in the country. The event gathered influential voices from business and technology, including Omer Khalid, Vice President of SCCI, and Sayyed Ahmad Masud, Project Director of National Incubation Center Islamabad, alongside Alibaba.com executives. The platform highlighted both its commitment to enabling local businesses and the achievements of entrepreneurs who have successfully expanded into global markets through its ecosystem.

The launch of Trade Assurance 2.0 was a central feature of the ceremony. Designed to address the specific needs of Pakistani exporters, the enhanced service introduces reduced transaction fees, free withdrawals, higher order and credit limits, and a wider range of payment options. According to Summer Gao, Head of Global Supply Chain Services at Alibaba.com, Pakistan remains a high-potential supplier market with diverse product categories attracting international buyer demand. He explained that the upgraded service was deliberately structured to lower costs and improve access to credit, helping businesses secure larger orders and grow their international presence.

The KEL Awards 2025 recognized six standout e-commerce finalists, each sharing strategies that helped them succeed on Alibaba.com. Awards were presented across categories such as Global Trade Innovators and E-commerce Export Masters, highlighting a wide variety of sectors from apparel to surgical goods. Among the top honors, Muhammad Usman Humayun of Gray Rocks Enterprise, Haider Ali of IMPEX Pakistan, and Muhammad Azam Rahmat of Mangoes Fashion received recognition as Alibaba.com Pakistan Key E-commerce Leaders. In addition, Muhammad Wasim of Blue Hands International was named the People’s Choice Award winner for 2025 based on audience voting. Judges included senior representatives from SCCI, NIC Islamabad, and Alibaba.com, as well as local e-commerce influencers.

Berry Ma, Head of Pakistan Business at Alibaba.com, emphasized the importance of these awards in celebrating the resilience and creativity of Pakistani SMEs. He noted that the KEL Awards are not only about competition but about showcasing exporters who leverage digital platforms to redefine their growth potential. The finalists’ stories reflected the role of technology in enabling global trade, including that of Mangoes Fashion, founded in 2020 by Muhammad Azam Rahmat. Starting with just two people and rooted in local garment manufacturing, the company transformed after joining Alibaba.com in 2021, using its Verified tag to build credibility. Within a short span, Mangoes Fashion achieved more than 200% annual growth, securing major orders including one worth $62,545 and six more valued at $20,000 each, expanding exports to markets across the United States, Europe, Australia, and Canada.

The success stories shared during the awards underscored how digital platforms such as Alibaba.com can provide a global gateway for Pakistani businesses, regardless of size. By coupling recognition of exporter achievements with the rollout of Trade Assurance 2.0, the event highlighted Alibaba.com’s intent to position Pakistani SMEs as strong contenders in international markets while equipping them with the tools to operate with greater security, efficiency, and financial flexibility.
