Air Link Communication Limited’s wholly owned subsidiary, Select Technologies Limited, has announced a strategic partnership with global consumer electronics company Hisense to manufacture and distribute home appliances in Pakistan. The agreement was disclosed through an official filing to Pakistan Stock Exchange, signaling a significant development in the country’s electronics manufacturing sector. This collaboration combines the international technological expertise of Hisense with the established local manufacturing and distribution network of Air Link Group, aiming to strengthen domestic production capabilities and improve access to quality home appliances.

The partnership will primarily focus on the local assembly and nationwide distribution of Smart TVs and air conditioners. By leveraging Hisense’s global research, design, and production expertise, the alliance intends to deliver products that meet international quality standards while addressing the specific needs of Pakistani consumers. Select Technologies will provide the infrastructure, logistics, and distribution framework to ensure that appliances reach retail markets across the country efficiently. The combined approach is designed to make high-quality, technologically advanced home appliances more accessible to local households.

Hisense has also indicated plans to make direct investments in the venture, reflecting a long-term commitment to Pakistan’s consumer electronics market. The company, which reported group revenues of $30.24 billion, views this partnership as a strategic entry into a growing market with strong potential for both household and commercial appliance segments. By participating in local manufacturing, Hisense aims not only to expand its footprint in Pakistan but also to support government initiatives aimed at boosting domestic production, creating jobs, and fostering skills development in the technology and manufacturing sectors.

Officials from Air Link Group highlighted that the collaboration is expected to enhance product availability across the country and improve affordability by reducing reliance on imports. The alliance also aligns with broader efforts to expand Pakistan’s electronics manufacturing base, providing consumers with a wider range of home appliances tailored to local preferences. With the partnership, both companies aim to create a sustainable model that integrates global expertise with domestic industrial capacity, supporting long-term growth in Pakistan’s home appliance market.

This strategic venture marks an important step for Air Link Communication and Hisense in strengthening the local consumer electronics ecosystem. By focusing on manufacturing, distribution, and technology transfer, the initiative is poised to deliver high-quality products, expand market choice, and reinforce Pakistan’s position as a growing hub for electronics production in South Asia.
