There is a new Pokémon game in town and it is taking the gaming world by storm. Pokémon Quest is a free-to-play Pokémon game that features cube-shaped creatures.

The game was initially released on the 30th of May crossed 1 million downloads in its first two days alone on Nintendo Switch according to the Pokémon Company. Furthermore, in a statement the company added that the game has crossed the 7.5 million downloads mark since it was released. The game is available on Nintendo Switch, as well as iOS and Android; it’s free on all platforms.

The game is set on Tumblecube Island, and features cube-style versions of the original 151 Pokémon, including the favorite Pikachu, Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur.

Like all free to play games, Pokémon Quest is supported by micro transactions. Where users can pay real money to buy items and packs that will help speed up their progress in the game. However, Nintendo hasn’t released the numbers bought in by the new game, an independent research firm SensorTower recently reports that Pokémon Quest for iOS and Android have made more than $3 million from micro transactions during its first week.

The Pokemon Company is to continue releasing games such as the Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon: Let’s Go Eevee, which are to launch in November for Nintendo Switch. A Pokémon RPG is also to follow in 2019. Pokémon Go that released around two years back continues to get new updates, with the latest update gave the users a version of Squirtle who wears sunglasses.
