Fintech firm Neem has officially entered Pakistan’s retail segment through a strategic partnership with DigiKhata, aiming to provide faster and more reliable payouts to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Announced via a LinkedIn post, the collaboration integrates Neem’s branded wallet and ledger infrastructure into DigiKhata’s platform, enabling merchants and retailers to access instant and secure disbursements. This move addresses a persistent challenge for SMEs, which frequently face delays in settlements while managing multiple payment streams and operational requirements.
DigiKhata, which has onboarded over one million merchants, offers a comprehensive suite of solutions including digital bookkeeping, trade credit management, and an online store platform, DigiDokaan. By combining its capabilities with Neem’s infrastructure, the platform aims to streamline financial operations, allowing SMEs to manage catalogues, orders, payments, and deliveries from a unified interface. Neem co-founder Nadeem Shaikh highlighted that disbursements have often been an overlooked part of the digital payments ecosystem, and the partnership is designed to give merchants greater control over their funds. DigiKhata CEO Adnan Aslam emphasized that the collaboration will enhance financial agility for SMEs, providing faster access to earnings and supporting more responsive business operations.
Beyond immediate disbursement improvements, Neem’s infrastructure is expected to support embedded lending solutions in the future. This includes working capital loans, invoice financing, and buy-now-pay-later options tailored to SMEs’ transaction histories. The initiative aligns with broader efforts to strengthen cash flow management for small businesses, enabling them to scale operations and participate more effectively in Pakistan’s growing digital economy. Recent investment activity, including a $1 million investment from DNI Group, underscores the company’s commitment to expanding fintech-driven solutions across multiple sectors.
Neem has pursued rapid growth through partnerships across insurance, logistics, healthcare, and retail technology. Earlier this year, the fintech entered the logistics sector by partnering with Leopards Courier Services and expanded into insurance through collaboration with Blink, a technology company in the food and beverage sector. Its products are currently active with partners such as Sehat Kahani, Smartlane, TCS, ezBike, Bakhabar Kissan, Farm2Home, Edkasa, and various retail and e-commerce brands including Sana Safinaz, Union Fabrics, Bechlo.pk, and EcommDeals. By integrating with DigiKhata, Neem reinforces its mission to provide SMEs with accessible, reliable financial services while enhancing the efficiency and transparency of digital payments in Pakistan.
