Pakistan marked a significant moment on the global technology stage with the inauguration of the Pakistan Pavilion at TechCrunch Disrupt 2025, held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The ceremony was led by Sajjad Syed, Chairman of PASHA, and Abu Bakar, CEO of Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), accompanied by PASHA CEC members Dr. Sonia Saleem, Usman Akbar, and Sheikh Abdul Qadir. Also present were Kheezran Khan, Director of Brand and Global Outreach at PASHA, along with PSEB representatives, PASHA delegates, and other key figures from Pakistan’s tech ecosystem. Their presence underscored the country’s growing prominence as a hub of innovation and digital capability.

Throughout the day, the PASHA leadership and delegation participated in extensive networking and discussions with international industry leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs. These interactions focused on strengthening Pakistan’s global technology partnerships, exploring collaborative ventures, and positioning the country as a competitive player in software exports and digital services. The event served as a valuable opportunity for Pakistani companies to showcase their technological solutions and startups to a global audience, demonstrating the country’s expanding expertise in areas such as artificial intelligence, software development, and enterprise solutions.

The Pakistan Pavilion became a center of activity, drawing attention from attendees interested in learning about the country’s growing digital economy and its increasing contributions to global innovation. Exhibitors from Pakistan shared insights into their projects and discussed the impact of local innovation on international markets. By highlighting its thriving startup ecosystem and expanding export capabilities, Pakistan reinforced its image as a rising contributor to the global tech landscape. The pavilion also provided a platform for young entrepreneurs to connect with investors, exchange ideas, and gain exposure to global trends in digital technology and innovation.

TechCrunch Disrupt 2025 offered an ideal platform for PASHA and PSEB to represent Pakistan’s technology potential and its progress in digital transformation. The leadership emphasized the importance of such global engagements in promoting local talent and fostering stronger international relationships that can help drive growth in the IT and software sectors. The event’s first day successfully reflected Pakistan’s ambition to play a larger role in the international innovation ecosystem by showcasing its entrepreneurial energy and technological expertise.

The participation of PASHA and PSEB at TechCrunch Disrupt 2025 highlighted the collaborative efforts between public and private sectors to promote Pakistan’s IT industry on the world stage. With a focus on networking, knowledge exchange, and meaningful collaboration, the event not only celebrated the achievements of Pakistani innovators but also set a positive tone for the country’s continued engagement with global technology leaders.
