GameBird, Pakistan’s first and largest esports platform powered by Telenor Pakistan, has reignited the spirit of competitive gaming with its PUBG Mobile Summer Series, one of the most high-impact tournaments in the country’s esports history. The series drew widespread attention not only from local players but also from international teams, reaffirming GameBird’s position as a pioneer in shaping the esports landscape in Pakistan. With a mix of global recognition and strong domestic participation, the event highlighted the rapid evolution of Pakistan’s esports community into a credible force in global gaming.

The tournament brought together 256 squads and more than 1,000 players from across Pakistan, creating one of the largest esports competitions the country has seen. Its scale and significance were further amplified by the participation of 16 international teams, including global champions Yangon Galacticos from the Esports World Cup 2025, as well as Alpha Gaming and DRX Gaming, both recognized names in the global competitive scene. This international presence elevated the tournament to global standards, while Liquipedia’s official listing of the event provided a strong validation of its stature. The grand finals were streamed live on GameBird’s YouTube channel, allowing esports fans across Pakistan and abroad to engage in real time.

The results of the Summer Series showcased the rise of local talent, as all three top positions were claimed by Pakistani PUBG Mobile squads. ASI8 delivered a stunning comeback to secure first place, followed by 313 Esports in second and Viper Esports in third, cementing Pakistan’s presence in competitive gaming. To celebrate the achievement, Telenor Pakistan organized a prize distribution ceremony at its headquarters 345 in Islamabad, honoring the winners and acknowledging the dedication of the country’s esports players. The event marked not just a competition but a celebration of the growing community that continues to push the boundaries of gaming excellence.

Ahsan Maykan, Chief Marketing Officer at Telenor Pakistan, emphasized the platform’s mission, stating that GameBird is more than just an arena for competition; it is a space for nurturing and elevating Pakistan’s gaming talent. He highlighted that the PUBG Mobile Summer Series reflects the readiness of Pakistani gamers to perform on the global stage, with GameBird providing the structure, support, and visibility to make it possible. Beyond this single tournament, GameBird continues to serve as a vital hub for grassroots development, enabling players to discover and participate in both online and offline competitions. By bridging players, organizers, influencers, and brands, GameBird is building a structured ecosystem that supports long-term growth of esports in Pakistan while strengthening Telenor Pakistan’s brand equity among younger audiences.
