The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) in collaboration with Capital Development Authority (CDA) will hold the International Industrial Expo at Shakarparian Ground, Islamabad, in October 2025. The initiative was finalized during a meeting between ICCI President Nasir Mansoor Qureshi and CDA Chairman & Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa.

Senior officials including Member Planning Dr. Khalid Hafeez, DG Planning Dr. Zafar Iqbal, DG Building Control & Housing Faisal Naeem, DG Resource Shakeel Ahmed, and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon also attended the meeting. The proposal, presented by President Qureshi, is aimed at promoting Pakistan’s diverse business and investment potential while attracting both local and foreign investment into the country.

Chairman Randhawa praised the initiative and assured CDA’s full support in implementing the expo plan. The event will host stalls from leading domestic and international companies, with active participation from chambers of commerce across Pakistan. Global exhibitors from China, Turkiye, Iran, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, and other nations are expected to showcase a wide range of products and services.

The expo is expected to serve as a platform for signing multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between Pakistani businesses and international partners. These agreements will focus on enhancing trade cooperation, fostering business-to-business collaboration, and increasing foreign exchange inflows into Pakistan. President Qureshi highlighted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will engage friendly countries to ensure strong international participation.

According to Qureshi, the expo will act as a gateway for creating new trade linkages, facilitating technology transfer, and encouraging innovation exchange. It will also provide opportunities for networking among local and global business leaders. He emphasized the vision of positioning Islamabad as a leading commercial hub in South Asia, attracting partnerships that contribute to sustainable economic growth.

ICCI remains committed to collaborating with CDA in addressing the concerns of the business community and further enhancing the city’s appeal as a clean, green, and globally competitive destination for commerce and culture. The International Industrial Expo 2025 is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s international trade profile while creating significant opportunities for domestic industries to connect with global markets.
