Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital operator, stood out at the Pakistan Digital Awards 2025 by winning key accolades across its core digital platforms—SIMOSA, Tamasha, and JazzCash. These awards reflect Jazz’s commitment to developing solutions that directly address the needs of consumers through innovation, accessibility, and meaningful engagement.

SIMOSA, Jazz’s lifestyle and community platform, received two prestigious recognitions: Best Consumer Mobile Service and the Gamification Award. Once known as the Jazz World app, SIMOSA has evolved into a brand-neutral digital platform that offers a wide range of services to the entire smartphone user base. Its features include digital SIM management, customer support, Social+, ecommerce, and gamified user journeys. With a consistent 4.5 rating on the Play Store and more than 20.8 million active users, the platform has grown into a central hub for mobile utility and lifestyle engagement.

The Gamification Award was given in recognition of SIMOSA’s creative use of features like daily reward streaks, swipeable shopping cards, and interactive learning modules. These elements are not only designed to retain users but also generate revenue through strategic ad placements and premium in-app options like streak skipping. SIMOSA’s ability to blend service with entertainment has made it a top choice among Pakistani smartphone users.

Jazz’s OTT platform Tamasha continued its winning streak by securing the award for Best Online Streaming Platform for the third year in a row. With an expanding catalog of local and international content, Tamasha remains at the forefront of Pakistan’s digital entertainment landscape. The platform has distinguished itself by offering an immersive experience that prioritizes user engagement, streaming quality, and easy accessibility. Its ongoing recognition highlights its influence in shaping entertainment trends in the country.

Aamer Ejaz, President Digital Platforms at Jazz, emphasized that SIMOSA and Tamasha represent more than just apps—they are full-scale digital platforms built to solve real-world challenges while providing value and delight. He noted that Jazz’s digital expansion strategy is centered on solutions that are intuitive, inclusive, and locally relevant.

JazzCash, the company’s digital financial services arm, also received top honors for its TapPay for Business solution, winning the Best Use of Creativity/Innovation category. TapPay enables merchants and small business owners to accept contactless payments directly through NFC-enabled Android smartphones, eliminating the need for conventional point-of-sale systems. With over 535,000 merchants now using the service, TapPay has become a transformative tool for digitizing payments in both urban and rural areas.

Murtaza Ali, President of JazzCash, said the award validates JazzCash’s mission to create impactful financial technologies. He highlighted that TapPay not only introduces an innovative way to process transactions but also drives inclusion by providing affordable payment solutions to small retailers and entrepreneurs across Pakistan.

Jazz’s recognition across these categories affirms its transformation from a telecom provider into a digital platform powerhouse. Through offerings like SIMOSA, Tamasha, and JazzCash, the company is reimagining how technology can empower users, promote financial inclusion, and enhance digital lifestyles for over 100 million Pakistanis.
