Express Media Group and 1Link Private Limited have collaborated to launch a Financial Education Podcast Series, aiming to raise public awareness on critical financial topics. The series, consisting of 12 episodes, will cover a wide range of issues, including cybersecurity, banking fraud, and the benefits and challenges of digital transactions. This initiative is designed to enhance financial literacy in Pakistan and promote an understanding of the evolving financial landscape.
The launch ceremony was held at 1Link’s office in Clifton, Karachi, and was attended by senior executives from both organizations and media agency EssenceMediacom. Key attendees included 1Link CEO Najeeb Agrawalla, Chief Commercial Officer Maliha Anwer Khan, Assistant General Manager MarCom Seema Kaswani, and Express Media Group’s Executive Director Marketing and Sales Azfar Mahmud Nizami. During the event, the participants underscored the importance of the initiative and its potential to benefit the public.
1Link CEO Najeeb Agrawalla expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing the significance of creating content that is both educational and practical. He remarked,

Through 1Link and our PayPak cards, Express Media Group, and Group M Podcasts, we aim to present topics like cybersecurity, banking fraud, tax benefits, and the use and benefits of cards in technology. These are crucial for public awareness.”
The initiative also aims to involve key stakeholders across the financial sector, including banks, regulators, and partners, to provide comprehensive insights to the audience. Assistant General Manager MarCom at 1Link, Seema Kaswani, highlighted the educational purpose of the podcast series, stating,
“The partnership aims to educate the public about the benefits and challenges of digital transactions. Through this series, we will involve major banks, partners, acquirers, and regulators to ensure that the public receives valuable information.”
In addition to the podcast series, 1Link announced plans for a groundbreaking payment scheme tailored specifically for women. This initiative, developed under the PayPak platform, will include features like savings, digital spending options, and insurance benefits. 1Link Chief Commercial Officer Maliha Anwer Khan explained,
“PayPak is Pakistan’s domestic payment scheme. When launched, Pakistan was the 28th country to introduce a national scheme, and today, over 90 countries have their own. We are now entering a new and exciting phase by introducing a payment scheme designed for women. This will include features like savings, digital spending, insurance, and other benefits. With the beginning of the New Year, this scheme will be a revolutionary step for the women of Pakistan.”
EssenceMediacom’s General Manager Ovais Ilyas praised the unique nature of the initiative, noting that it will provide valuable insights into the financial sector. He stated,
“This will be a unique podcast of its kind. Through this initiative, individuals will gain valuable insights into banking and financial matters. Key decision-makers will be invited to share their expertise, offering listeners an in-depth understanding of these critical topics.”
