Pakistan-US Tech Investment Conference held in California has yielded promising results, with over $20 million in initial agreements secured. The event, organized by the Consulate General of Pakistan in Los Angeles, brought together IT companies from both countries to explore opportunities for collaboration.

Pakistan’s Minister for IT, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the IT sector’s growth, aiming to achieve $25 billion in IT exports. Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh encouraged US businesses to capitalize on Pakistan’s burgeoning market and dispel misconceptions about the country’s investment potential.

The conference showcased the innovative work of 11 Pakistani startups in areas such as AI, fintech, health tech, e-commerce, and software development. Participants discussed strategies to create a more investor-friendly environment, generate job opportunities, and address internet connectivity challenges to unlock Pakistan’s full potential in the global IT market.

This successful conference signifies a positive step towards strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and the US in the technology sector.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995.
