Leading embedded finance platform Neem and prominent investment firm DNI Group have announced a strategic investment partnership aimed at fostering innovation and growth within the embedded finance space in Pakistan.

Neem’s co-founder, Vladimira Briestenska, revealed to a local news medium that the investment size for this partnership amounts to $1 million.

This collaboration entails a substantial investment by DNI Group into Neem, with a focus on creating synergies across the broader financial wellness landscape through product-led initiatives.

The partnership signifies a strong commitment to the embedded finance industry and showcases a shared vision for transforming the financial landscape in Pakistan. Neem’s financial infrastructure and Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) capabilities enable digital platforms to offer comprehensive embedded financial services to underserved customers.

Ross Venter, CEO of DNI’s technology arm, Digital Ecosystems, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating,

“Neem’s goal of providing financial wellness to the Pakistani market aligns with DNI’s own objectives around empowering people and enhancing financial and digital inclusion. Through DNI’s strategic investment into Neem, we hope to fast-track the development, exchange, and commercialization of our respective technologies for the benefit of consumers within our global communities.”

The partnership between DNI Group and Neem aims to advance financial wellness, particularly for underserved communities. This collaboration further strengthens Neem’s Financial Wellness thesis, empowering businesses and individuals to take control of their financial lives.

Neem has already established product partnerships with several companies within DNI Group’s portfolio, including Airvantage in the airtime lending space and Paymenow in the earned wage access sector.

Vladimira Briestenska, co-founder of Neem, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating,

“The partnership and investment from DNI Group, a team of seasoned operators with global expertise, serve as a powerful testament. It showcases their confidence in the embedded finance model, our Neem team’s strong execution capabilities, and, above all, our shared vision of empowering Financial Wellness for communities in Pakistan and across emerging markets worldwide. We are excited about this major milestone in our journey at Neem.”

Despite global macro-climates, Pakistan’s digital ecosystem continues to thrive, and Neem remains committed to building financial resilience and economic prosperity for people within Pakistan and beyond.

The strategic investment partnership between Neem and DNI Group not only sends a significant signal to the market and the digital ecosystem but also reinforces the importance of serving underserved communities.
