The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) and Zong 4G have struck an agreement to promote gender equality in the workplace.

Women’s inclusion at all levels of work and society has been as important to Zong’s CSR as social responsibility has been to the company’s professional ethics since its foundation. The collaboration with Pakistan’s telecom regulator broadens this gender diversity objective even more.
Zong has always strived to create and encourage a more gender-balanced workplace and society. The organization gives women an equal opportunity to flourish in the workplace and in society, in addition to offering them a chance to test their mettle in some of the most crucial tasks.
Zong has played a critical role in the advancement of women both inside and outside the company by concentrating on inclusive growth.

The following are some of Zong’s efforts promoting women’s inclusion and empowerment both within and outside the workplace:

Call centers with 49 percent female employees (both Pakistani and Chinese); international-standard work-from-home model for call center employees; GTO program  career and development options for female graduates; and a significant commemoration of International Women’s Day every year.
Other moves in this approach include an emphasis on female employees’ mental and physical well-being (sports, gym, yoga, breast cancer awareness, and more); working mother facilitation services; and state-of-the-art childcare facilities.
Other notable initiatives from Zong include the establishment of digital labs, vocational training centers for female students, digital training for women through the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF), empowerment of female doctors through Sehat Kahani, and the CSR Ambassador Program for Zong female volunteers to uplift women in society.

Zong is a firm believer in the importance of women in achieving a progressive society and realizing the Digital Pakistan goal. That is why Zong has been increasing women’s inclusion and empowerment in the ICT industry, and has taken the lead on this front.
The gender inclusion agreement with PTA will assist Zong in broadening its horizons and exploring new and innovative avenues to not only include more women in the workplace and provide them with opportunities to advance in their careers, but also to work for their empowerment and enablement in society.
