Fauji Foods Signs MoU With NIFSAT

Fauji Foods Ltd and National Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFSAT) at University of Agriculture Faisalabad have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation under the Academia Endowment Program, at a ceremony that was organized at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad on January 10th, 2019.

Brig. Zahid Nawaz Mann, SI (M) (Retd) Company Secretary, Fauji Foods Ltd and Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Vice Chancellor UAF signed the Mou. Company Secretary Fauji Foods Ltd SI (M), (Retd) Brig. Zahid Nawaz Mann,) was also present at the event.

As per the agreement, Fauji Foods will be investing in the youth of Pakistan by providing grants to them, enabling them to gain exposure and practical knowledge in actual corporate settings. Moreover, joint research and development will also be conducted on food products for innovative technological outcomes and best quality standards.

Company Secretary Fauji Foods Ltd commenting on the occasion said, “This collaboration between Fauji Foods Ltd and University of Agriculture Faisalabad will develop a very strong foundation for quality products in Pakistan through modern research and technology.”

The collaboration is to help the youth of this country to acquire the right skills and knowledge to steer the food industry forward. The MOU is to make way for exciting developments in research and education that have the potential to be revolutionary for both the parties.

Furthermore, the aim of the partnership is to initiate joint efforts to unlock the potential and strengthen the development of Pakistan’s food and dairy industry.

Under the agreement, the aim is to provide the students with merit based scholarship, conduct joint research in selected areas, technology transfer, innovative product development and value addition, training and employment opportunities and internships for the students.
