200 Million Views to Afreen Afreen! – Coke Studio Pakistan

The rendition of Afreen Afreen in the season nine of Coke Studio Pakistan by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Momina Musteshan became an instant hit when it came out in 2016. The song ever since its release has been a fan favorite all over the world and has become the first local video to hit a record of 200 million views on YouTube. 

Momina, along with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan took to Instagram and thanked the listeners for their love and support through a video. The post read, “Thank you everyone for your love and support! Afreen becomes the first song in Pakistan to cross 200 million views.” Furthermore, they also thanked Coke Studio, Strings and Javed Akhtar, who penned the lyrics for this version of the song. 

This is a huge milestone for Coke Studio and for the local music industry in the country. Coke Studio Pakistan has had many hits that have garnered attention worldwide due to their melodious tunes and soulful voices.
