10Pearls Brings Immersive Reality Code Jam 2018 To Karachi

With the augmented reality and virtual reality market expected to rise to 209.2 Billion dollar industry by 2022, 10Pearls Karachi in order to get the wheels turning in that direction for Pakistan is organizing the Immersive Reality Code Jam 2018 from October 1st to 5th. The hackathon is looking for proposals related to ideas for the HoloLens and Oculus.

The goal of the Immersive Reality Code Jam is to prototype creative & unique ideas, products and services that will create social & economic value for the community. The winners of the event will be taking home cash prizes.

OPEN Karachi and Pakistan Software House Association (P@SHA) is to serve as the Event Partner for the Immersive Reality Code Jam 2018. The registrations for the hackathon are now open, to register click here and fill out the form the last date to apply is 20th September. The team can consist of 1 to 3 people, and the participants are expected to bring their own laptops along with their chargers. Experienced professionals are encouraged to participate.

Once registration closes the shortlisted teams will be sent a confirmation emails, and the teams will be invited to 10Pearls Labs for a briefing and demo of AR/VR devices and setting up of the HoloLens/ Oculus devices on their systems.
