Zong, a leading information services and technology company in Pakistan, recently hosted Zong Engage PUBGM Manhunt II, now recognized as the largest third-party PUBG Mobile tournament in the country. The semifinals and grand finals, held from November 8 to 10, were livestreamed on Zong’s YouTube and Facebook channels, attracting thousands of viewers from Pakistan and across the globe. The tournament highlighted the expanding e-sports community in Pakistan and showcased the talent and enthusiasm of mobile gamers across the nation.

The event, organized under Zong Engage, the company’s official esports platform, witnessed record-breaking participation with over 26,000 gamers and more than 1,300 registered teams. The competition brought together local teams including Valyrians Esports, Team Xotics, Aminz Esports, Demon Esports, R3gicide, SSP Uprising, and Viper Esports with leading international squads such as Earena, Horra Esports, ASI8, and Team Secret. The three-day playoffs alone generated 235,000 views on Zong’s YouTube channel, demonstrating the growing engagement of the gaming audience in Pakistan.

The finals featured 18 teams evenly split between international and Pakistani participants, garnering 390,000 views and trending on social media globally. Defending champions ASI8 claimed victory in a closely contested match against Vietnam’s Team Flash, winning by just six points. Beyond competitive play, the event included a live esports trivia session, giving viewers an interactive experience with the chance to win prizes, including Apple AirPods 4 sponsored by Mercantile. This addition enhanced audience engagement and reinforced the community-driven aspect of Zong Engage tournaments.

Sajid Munir, Head of Marketing at Zong, highlighted the significance of Manhunt II for Pakistan’s esports landscape, emphasizing the company’s commitment to uniting passionate gamers and driving digital innovation. The tournament was powered by Zong in collaboration with Golootlo, InMobiles, Mercantile, PUBGM, and Bloodmoon Esports, strengthening the infrastructure and support system for emerging gamers. Through Zong Engage, Zong continues to expand Pakistan’s digital and gaming frontier, transforming mobile gaming into a platform for talent development, creativity, and national pride while fostering a vibrant esports ecosystem.

This event underscores the growth of mobile esports in Pakistan and positions Zong Engage as a central hub for competitive gaming, connecting local talent with international opportunities and contributing to the broader development of Pakistan’s digital entertainment industry.
