Zong Brings 4G to Gilgit Baltistan

Zong has officially launched its network in Gilgit Baltistan, marking a significant milestone in the region’s digital development.

The launch event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Mr. Ghulam Muhammad, Minister of Law and Tourism, Government of Gilgit Baltistan, who graced the event as the chief guest.   

With the commercial activation of 59 4G sites across the region, Zong aims to empower local communities, enhance connectivity, and contribute to the socio-economic development of Gilgit Baltistan.

Zong’s Executive Director of Sales & Distribution, Khawaja Shehzad Ullah, emphasized the importance of connectivity in the region, stating, “We are thrilled to bring Zong 4G’s high-speed internet to Gilgit Baltistan. This launch reflects our commitment to bridging Pakistan’s digital divide and supporting economic growth.”

Zong’s CEO, Mr. Huo Junli, expressed his appreciation for the teams involved in the expansion and highlighted the role of 4G services in fueling Pakistan’s digital transformation.

The launch of Zong’s network in Gilgit Baltistan is a testament to the company’s continued efforts to support the national digital agenda and drive inclusive connectivity in all regions of Pakistan.
