Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has officially confirmed Zeeshan Rehman Khattak as Commissioner, following his appointment by the Federal Government.

Khattak brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously served as Chief Commercial Officer at the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB). During his tenure, he played a crucial role in accelerating the growth of Pakistan’s IT sector by driving trade partnerships and contributing to key national policy frameworks.

His leadership extended to additional roles as Acting CEO, showcasing his diverse expertise in infrastructure development, strategic planning, and governance.

With a career spanning more than two decades, Khattak has worked across multiple sectors, including wealth management, regulatory affairs, real estate, and technology. His international exposure and domestic contributions have positioned him as a versatile leader equipped to navigate the evolving financial and regulatory landscape in Pakistan.

Khattak holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from California State University, Fullerton, USA, and an MBA in Finance from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad. His diverse academic and professional background underlines his capability to contribute effectively to SECP’s mandate of fostering a robust and transparent financial regulatory environment.

His confirmation marks a significant development for SECP as it continues its efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s financial and corporate sectors.
