Ufone Recieves ISO 9001:2015 Certificate

Pakistani Telecom Company Ufone has recently achieved the certification of the new standard ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) for their Technology Department that covers both the Network as well as their IT portfolios.

The telecom company continues to demonstrate un-compromising commitment to quality excellence and customer satisfaction. Technology team at Ufone has demonstrated great emphasis on leadership management, evidenced its capacity to address organizational risks, and established simplification of the language in its management systems.

The ISO 9001:2015 certification sets a higher standard to quality management system than its predecessor and focuses on performance through a process-oriented approach. Furthermore, it also takes into consideration factors like risk-based thinking and employs a Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle at all levels.

Bureau Veritas (BV) is an internationally recognized certification body that conducted an independent assessment before awarding the certification to Ufone. The BV certification is recognized and renowned throughout the world and is valued symbol of reliability, sustainability, and trust. BV has issued more than 400 ISO certificates across diverse sectors in Pakistan and has operations in over 120 countries. S

The President and CEO of Ufone Rashid Khan and the Chief Technology and Information Officer Jafar Khalid were presented the ISO 9001:2015 certificate by the CEO of Bureau Veritas, Syed Talib Hussain on October 15, 2018.  Speaking on the occasion, CTIO Ufone Jafar Khalid said, “ISO 9001:2015 based approach to business will help Ufone to further enhance the efficiency of its offered services and innovate customer centricity”. Speaking at the occasion, the President & CEO of Ufone Rashid Khan emphasized that Globalization and its associated challenges demand standardization of processes under a structured QA program”.

CEO of BV Talib Hussain stressing on the importance of standardization for businesses today said, “The certification to ISO 9001:2015 recognizes Ufone’s commitment in monitoring and managing quality across all functions of its Technology Division”.

The standards are reviewed every five years by the International Standards Organization (ISO) in order to remain current in an ever-changing business environment. The ISO 9001 sets quality management standards and guides businesses and organizations to ensure their products and services consistently meet customer’s requirements and that their commitment to quality is constantly improving.
