PTCL has joined hands with DailyMotion to provide improved services to PTCL customers in Pakistan while YouTube is still banned. PTCL customers will have multi-screen viewing options and a variety of online videos at DailyMotion. Even though, DailyMotion is not as efficient and immense as YouTube but it will be a good option for internet users in Pakistan.
Nokia Shareholders Approve $7.2BN Deal for Sale of Devices Business to Microsoft
The ongoing deal between Microsoft and Nokia and finally resulted in NokiaSoft, which however is still unofficial but Nokia is officially a part of Microsoft now. This $7.2 billion deal will transform Microsoft into world’s second largest mobile phone maker. Nokia will remain active and continue as a separate entity.
Pakistan Air Force-Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology Holds 11th Convocation
Karachi: Pakistan Air Force-Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology (PAF-KIET) held its 11th convocation at PAF Museum Convention Center at PAF Base Faisal. The graduates secured degrees in computer sciences, management sciences and engineering. There were 32 degrees awarded in BSCS, 10 in Business Entrepreneurship, 27 in MCS and MBA-MIS, 16 in MS Computer Science while 29 degrees were awarded in BCA.
