Punjab government in order to ensure transparency and put an end to corruption is to roll out an ‘e-tendering’ system for public contracts.
According to the news, the Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has approved the proposal of e-tendering that is to be launched soon for all government departments. The CM further stated that the e-tendering system is to be introduced in stages and will be completely implemented from the new financial year. Thus, all government departments will be required to issue notices for tenders invitation through this system in the next fiscal year 2019-20.
