The National Incubator Center (NIC) at Karachi has the aim to incubate over 200 next-gen businesses in the first 5 years and intends to empower aspiring entrepreneurs to create high growth and sustainable tech and tech-enabled businesses.
Among one of the LMKT-led consortium that operates NIC Karachi is the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) who has been supporting the youth in terms of giving them opportunities and developing their talents for the future of Pakistan.
Recently is has been reported that PTCL has pledged to support the top startups that are incubated at NIC Karachi. The decision came when a delegation of PTCL’s higher management visited NIC Karachi at the NED University.
Dr. Daniel Ritz, President and CEO PTCL, and Moqeem ul Haque, Chief Commercial Officer, PTCL, Saad Muzaffar Waraich, Chief Technology & Information Officer, PTCL and Sikandar Naqi, Chief Business Development Officer, along with senior executives of PTCL led a session during their visit. Murtaza Zaidi, Director, NIC Peshawar along with top startups and entrepreneurs also participated in the session.
Happy Lives, BOGO, Base H, Edvon, The Learning Pitch, Social Junction, Janbaaz, Bioniks, Pixcile, Med works, Health Rahbar, Pop up Learning and Ilmversity presented their business ideas to the PTCL’s management. Furthermore, during the session, various ideas for further collaboration using PTCL’s infrastructure and network were discussed to assist startups.
