Applications Now Open – Indie Games Accelerator 2019

The Indie Games Accelerator is a program for top game startups from the selected emerging markets who are looking to make it at the top on the Android platform. The Indie program is a special edition of the Launchpad Accelerator program that is designed with the collaboration of Google Play. It features a comprehensive curriculum and mentorship from all the top mobile game experts in the world.

Indie Games Accelerator program 2019 is all set to take place and is planning on expanding the program’s reach. As this year, the program is open to mobile developers from 37 different countries including Pakistan.

An Indie developer is an independent single or a small group of developers who utilize their own resources to develop an application without working under any organization. However, the indie developers can still showcase themselves as studios.

The program is fully funded, and the selected mobile developers will not get to attend the boot camps at the Google Asia HQ in Singapore but also receive personalized mentorship from Google and gaming industry experts. Along with an opportunity to be showcased on Google Play, US$ 20,000 in Google Cloud Platform and Firebase credits, a Google Pixel smartphone and invites to all the exclusive events.

Last year, the Indie program only show to the participation of eight countries. Therefore, this is a notable expansion in the program’s reach. According to Google the aim is to help mobile developers from across the world to achieve their full potential on the company’s mobile platform Google Play.

So, if you are mobile game developer go on and apply for this once in a life time opportunity. The eligibility criteria for the program is:

  • One must be a registered developer on Google Play.
  • The developer should be based in one of the eligible countries: Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Egypt, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Nigeria, South Africa, Tunisia, Turkey, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
  • Be at least 18 years old* at the time of entering the competition.
  • The applicant must be the developer of the game they are submitting for review.
  • If you are submitting an unreleased game for review, it must have a playable demo APK (Android Package Kit) submitted to Google Play as private beta through the Google Play Console and made accessible to the program team by inviting iga2019test@gmail.com as a beta tester within the Submission Period.
