The Prime Minister Youth Program is to soon launch the ‘Startup Pakistan Program’ according to sources. Associated Press Pakistan (APP) also recently quoted that the program will also establish Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutes in the country to develop innovation-driven entrepreneurs (IDEs).
Sources state that the program aims to provide technical training and skills to students of various scientific fields and to those who seek technological skills in TVET institutes.
The statement by APP read that, “The students of universities will be given technical and vocational training in seven emerging technologies through incubation initiative which will also in reaching global forums to exploit their talent and expertise.” Moreover, the students would also be offered training in both high-tech and conventional demand-driven trades to ensure maximum employability.
Furthermore, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, Usman Dar speaking about the program said that it will benefit more than a million students and help them launch about 10,000 ventures.
