It is a hackathon that is focused on game development. The weekend is aimed at stirring a global creative buzz in games, while at the same time exploring the process of development, be it programming, iterative design, narrative exploration or artistic expression. All condensed into a 48-hour development cycle. People from all backgrounds are encouraged to participate and contribute to this global spread of game development and creativity.

The registrations are now open for the Global Games Jams at official Global Game Jam site.
For Lahore Registration click here and for Islamabad Registration here.

Furthermore, all participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop, especially if they already have licenses of any software they want to use such as Unity. However, there will be a mix of older laptops available with the following software: Adobe Creative Suite (including Flash Builder), MS Office, Visual Studio. These computers can support various development environments including Java, Python, Game Maker, Processing, JavaScript/HTML5, and C#.

What is great about this event is that even if one does not know to program but can provide assets such such as sound, art etc or even if one is an experienced game player and want to take a stab at testing or design is welcomed to take part. At the GGJ, they will be also working on tabletop games I.e. board, card, live action, etc. S

The event is for anyone who is 18+ and has a small entry fee of Rs 500.
