World Bank Mission x Finance Minister: Current Projects Under Discussion

On Tuesday, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin met with World Bank Country Director Najy Benhassine and his colleagues in the Finance Division. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of Finance and other senior authorities.
The two parties exchanged information on the status of current World Bank initiatives in Pakistan, with an emphasis on the Resilient Institutions Strengthening Program (RISE-II). They discussed certain steps that must be taken in order for the programme to be completed on time.

Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin thanked the World Bank for assisting the government in pursuing a reform programme and implementing numerous economic initiatives. He stated that Pakistan appreciated the World Bank’s financial and technical assistance for institutional changes and economic growth.
