In order to improve Pakistan’s image, especially the image of Pakistnai females, WikiGap introduces online writing competition.
The WikiGap public writing competition aims to promote the positive image of Pakistan and related issues of Pakistan enhancing web promotion. Organized under the WikiGap campaign by the Embassy of Sweden in Pakistan, to give a favourable view of Pakistani women on Wikipedia is a central goal that this competition will hope to achieve. The online competition will be preceded by two online training via video-conferencing app Zoom. These online sessions are scheduled to begin on the 5th and 6th of November, whereas the competition will start immediately after on the 7th of November 2020, ending exactly a month later on the 7th of December 2020.
There are no restrictions on who can partake in the competition, but having a Wikipedia account is necessary. The competition will follow a KISS point system, where participants will be awarded points for developing and writing high-quality articles. The participant with the highest number of points wins.
