This is no doubt the digital age, almost everyone everywhere is connected to the internet through Facebook, twitter, instagram, snapchat, you name it and they have it. These days when one opens their Facebook page it is about 65% of the time (give or take) occupied with posts from a certain page called Buzzfeed.

Buzzfeed is an American news social media company; they post various things ranging from easy to make recipes which comes under Buzzfeed food, Buzzfeed videos which has videos ranging from Americans trying food from around the world like from India and Pakistan and what they think about them, cute dog videos, sarcastic videos made by the team to dedicate to different people, there are many more. They also do quizzes where they ask you if they can recognize your zodiac sign by the ice cream you eat and various other ridiculous things.
Buzzfeed can be sort of defined as by the common user as the sarcastic, foodie, ridiculously funny platform. It is an excellent place to go to when bored or maybe when one just needs to unwind and forget their hectic life for a few minutes.

Apart from having an actual website, they have Facebook pages, not just one but many like Buzzfeed Food, Buzzfeed Tech, Buzzfeed Politics, Buzzfeed Entertainment; they basically cover almost every topic there is to talk about and one thing is constant that witty yet humorous side is always present in their post. Buzzfeed even has their own app available on Android and Apple.

Following this trend and seeing how much of a hit Buzzfeed is, a Pakistani site has also come to the surface in the world of internet called Mangobaaz. Their goal is basically to tell a different story about Pakistan then that that is projected by the media around the world.  They provide almost everything from humor to entertainment and some of the news in their own personal style which the youth of Pakistan can identify to.

These entertainment social media companies are sure taking up the spotlight, as one’s day is sure not complete without reading a post from Buzzfeed or Mangobaaz or maybe both of them specially if you’re a Pakistani looking for some entertainment in your life.
