Tech Valley Abbottabad’s 3rd Edition of 3Ts Conference: Tech Travel & Tourism

Tech Valley Abbottabad is a social enterprise, which adheres to the establishment of a community consisting of Tech experts and Entrepreneurs through youth empowerment. In an era, which is predominantly influenced by the use of technology and how society at large can benefit from it, Tech Valley Abbottabad fosters social entrepreneurship with an aim to have a larger impact on society. They provide these startups with the training and facilities needed to launch and take their ideas to market. This includes efforts like training, capacity building and community engagement. Their annual affair, the Tech Valley Conference focuses on the 3Ts: Travel, Tourism and Technology. The aim of the event is to unleash the potential of the tourism industry by syncing the public & private sector.

Najam-us-Sahar Durrani, Project Manager of the Tech Valley Abbottabad conference on Travel & Tourism, spoke to IDG regarding the event and shared.

The conference includes notable speakers and panelist from diverse backgrounds with their expertise to highlight the potential in the untapped market of tourism. Imran Khan, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf will be the Chief at the event and other notable speakers at the event include:

  • Lashley A. Pulsipher from Hashoo Group
  • Senator Mushahid Hussain
  • Asad Umar
  • Waseem Hashmi
  • Senior Advisor HEC
  • Nadeem Hussain, Founder of Planet N Group of Companies
  • Adeel Hashmi, TPL Maps

Key partners include Hashoo Group, TPL Maps, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board, Tourism Corporation KP, Sehat Kahani, Careem as logistic partner and ARY Digital as exclusive media partner with many other partners to the conference. The academic partners include Hazara University, University of Haripur, IBA Karachi and UET Peshawar.

We have worked hard to bring the academia, public and private sector on one slot that is unleash the potential of tourism. This has only been possible with the support of various hospitality and tourism companies who have extended a hand in putting this event together. 

PC World Pakistan is Knowledge Partner with IDG as the Technology Media Partner for the event. Speaking about partnering with IDG, the TVA team said,

The flagship event Tech Valley Abbottabad, The Tech Valley Conference 2018 is the 3rd edition of their conference. The event will take place on 10th March 2018 at the Jalal Baba Auditorium in Abbottabad. The theme of this conference is Travel, Tourism and Tech. Hence this year is focus in promoting startups in these sectors and for these sectors to improve in the coming year. This edition has an additionally important theme which is to further use these sectors to promote tourism in the country. Tech Valley will provide a platform with which these individuals will receive guidance and mentorship from these experts. In order to register for the event, one must sign up here.

This event showcases how technology is effectively helping the tourism sector in Pakistan and more initiatives such as these are needed for the economy of the country to grow and prosper. It highlights the undisputed beauty of the Northern areas of Pakistan and further improves the image of the country from a global standpoint as it promotes more tourism in that region.
