President Dr Arif Alvi recently took part in a video conference with a group of premier Pakistani IT experts from Silicon Valley in USA to talk about the Pakistan Software Business Initiative.
During the conference call he emphasized on the need for specialized training programs in the Information Technology sector to reinforce Pakistan’s software exports. He also spoke about how Pakistan has lagged behind in software exports due to lack of focus and proper specialized training. However, according to him if the program is executed as proposed Pakistan can produce foreign exchange and have a world class software workforce.
Overall, the main objective of this initiative is to educate the students and prepare them for software development jobs in the extremely competitive global market. Under the program, 250 software graduates are to be initially trained by overseas trainers in areas of Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Mobile Application.
