Sindh Police has launched a province-wide online application designed to digitise tenant records, providing property owners with a more efficient, convenient, and accessible way to register tenant information. The platform, named Tenant Registration For Urban Security & Tracking, is now available on the Sindh Police official website, allowing landlords to complete legal registration from home without the need to visit police stations in person. This initiative is part of a broader push by Sindh Police to modernise administrative processes across multiple departments, streamline operations, and ensure that accurate and verified information is maintained in a centralised digital format.

Under the Rent Act, landlords are required to provide tenant details to the relevant police station. Until now, this process required in-person visits, which could be time-consuming and often led to delays in maintaining records. The new online system transforms this workflow by enabling property owners to submit tenant information digitally, upload necessary documents, and receive confirmation of registration through the platform. This not only saves time for landlords but also ensures that the records maintained by Sindh Police are accurate, up to date, and verifiable. Officials have emphasised that the platform is secure, easy to use, and designed to accommodate all landlords across the province.

Authorities have noted that the move toward digitisation is part of a wider effort to increase transparency and accountability within administrative processes. By registering tenants online under the Residential Act, landlords contribute to the creation of a verified database, which helps authorities monitor urban security more effectively. The system reduces opportunities for errors and manual mishandling of records, which were challenges under the previous manual process. Sindh Police has urged all property owners to take advantage of the online platform to comply with legal requirements while avoiding unnecessary travel and paperwork, reinforcing the importance of digitisation in public administration.

The initiative also aligns with broader e-governance and digital transformation efforts in Pakistan, reflecting a growing trend of integrating technology into public service delivery. Digitisation ensures that tenant records are properly documented, easily accessible, and centrally managed, supporting both legal compliance and operational efficiency. With this online system, authorities can maintain verified records of residential properties, monitor tenancy trends, and respond to urban security concerns more efficiently. For citizens, the process is more transparent and convenient, eliminating the need to visit police stations and reducing administrative delays while providing reassurance that tenant information is safely recorded and readily retrievable.

Through the launch of this online tenant registration system, Sindh Police is demonstrating a commitment to leveraging technology to improve service delivery, enhance administrative efficiency, and create a more accessible interface for citizens. This platform not only simplifies compliance with the Rent Act but also strengthens the overall framework of urban property management. As digital governance continues to expand across Pakistan, initiatives such as this are helping to bridge the gap between public authorities and citizens, providing secure, transparent, and efficient solutions for record-keeping and monitoring residential properties across the province.
