Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) organized a dedicated seminar focused on e-commerce lead generation, aiming to empower youth and promote digital entrepreneurship across the region. Held under the leadership of President Ikram-ul-Haq and led by Chairman of the SME Training Committee Faizan Akbar, the session reflected SCCI’s ongoing commitment to fostering innovation and building digital capabilities within the small and medium enterprise sector.

The seminar brought together aspiring entrepreneurs, students, and early-stage business owners to explore effective strategies for developing an online business presence and generating sustainable leads in a competitive digital environment. A highlight of the event was the keynote session by Usman Chughtai, widely recognized in the e-commerce space and known for his extensive work in helping individuals and startups scale online ventures. Popularly known as “E-commerce wala,” Chughtai shared his expertise on digital tools, platforms, and methods for building scalable online revenue streams.

Throughout the session, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of lead generation, including how to optimize digital campaigns, create compelling content, use social media for targeting, and adopt marketing automation to streamline customer acquisition. Usman Chughtai emphasized the importance of data-driven decision-making and encouraged attendees to take a practical approach in crafting personalized e-commerce journeys that resonate with today’s consumers.

The attendees, most of whom were young entrepreneurs at the early stages of their business careers, were provided with practical frameworks and examples that could be applied immediately in their work. The focus was on breaking down the barriers to entry into digital commerce by making tools and techniques accessible to non-technical users, enabling them to compete and thrive in online marketplaces both locally and internationally.

SCCI’s initiative was designed to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Sialkot, a city already known for its manufacturing excellence, by adding value through digital literacy and e-commerce enablement. By creating platforms for education and upskilling, SCCI continues to align local businesses with emerging global trade practices. The seminar also served as a networking opportunity, allowing participants to engage with trainers and peers and gain clarity on evolving trends in the digital economy.

President Ikram-ul-Haq and Faizan Akbar reiterated their focus on equipping SMEs with the knowledge and training required to build modern business capabilities. Their vision for a digitally fluent business community in Sialkot was reflected in the structure and engagement of the seminar, which combined practical learning with mentorship from industry leaders. The session received positive feedback from participants, who appreciated the hands-on approach and direct guidance offered during the program.

The e-commerce seminar adds to a growing list of capacity-building efforts being led by SCCI in collaboration with local and national stakeholders. As digital trade continues to gain momentum, such initiatives are shaping a future-ready workforce capable of adapting to market changes and creating new avenues for business growth.
